Market Zell am See
On Fridays, from 8 am to 1 pm, you will be offered a large selection of culinary delicacies and much more at a number of market stalls that will continue to grow until the summer. Come to Zell's town square, enjoy the market atmosphere and buy fresh, local products. Stroll from stall to stall and choose from the delicacies: fruit, vegetables, potatoes, bread, cheese, meat, dumplings, pastries, honey, jams, oils, creative floristry and decoration, organic CBD products made in-house...
The town market will also take place in 2025 every Friday from 21 March to 19 December from 8 am to 1 pm In September there will always be live music!
Wings for Life World Run 2025 - App Run Event Zell am See
The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. Now in its tenth year, on 5 May 2024 Wings for Life World Run participants in Austria can also run together in Zell am See. Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 1 pm. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

Elisabethpark - via Elisabethpromenade nach Schüttdorf - Seespitzstraße - Am Schilf - Karl-Vogt-Straße - Karl-Vogt-Weg - Thomas Bernhard Weg nach Haus Gabi - via Seeuferstraße nach Thumersbach - via Thumersbacherstraße zum Badeplatz Wieshof - Doktor Schandlbauer Promenade - Prielaupromenade zurück nach Zell am See.
Feed Stations at Elisabethpark, Haus Gabi and Wieshof.
BOAT SHUTTLE
After you get caught by the virtual catcher car the race is over for you. To enable a smooth and quick way back to the start venue all participants can use the boat shuttle „Überfahrt“ for free. This limits the maximum walking distance to 2,5km after your personal finish line.
WHEELCHAIR PARTICIPANTS
On 4 May 2025 wheelchair participants and runners start side by side at this track. The only requirement: wheelchair participants have to start in everyday wheelchairs.
TIMING AND RACE NUMBER
You will receive your personal race number via email and it’s also available next to your starting number on the website a couple of days before the race. The Wings for Life World Run App is your time tracking tool. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start and as soon as it overtakes you, you will get clear signals via the App. Please make sure to have a fully charged phone on race day.

In order to join this App Run Event, please download the Wings for Life World Run App for Android or iPhone and sign up for race day in the App. To be part of the Wings for Life World Run on 5 May 2024 registration fee will be charged; 100% of your fee go to spinal cord research. After you completed your registration for race day, you can join this App Run Event.
